AlphaDog Medical and Dental Supply, LLC was founded by Dr. George Kang, DDS and Elisabeth Kang, RDH, BS. 

Dr. Kang first entered the U.S. government service as a dental student.  While at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Kang received a Navy Dental Scholarship.  Upon his commissioning after dental school, Dr. Kang was accepted into an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the U.S. Navy Dental Clinic in Yokosuka, Japan.  While in Japan, he focused in pediatric dentistry while performing the duties of the clinic Division Officer.  After his tour in Japan, Dr. Kang was stationed at the Makalapa Dental Clinic in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he was able to complete mini-residencies in oral surgery, endodontics and periodontics.  While in Hawaii, he received the Navy Achievement Medal.  He was then honorably discharged from the Navy and continued to serve his country by serving those who served before him.  Dr. Kang was accepted as a staff dentist at the James A. Haley, Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital in Tampa, FL.  While serving in one of the largest VA Hospitals in the country, Dr. Kang was able to learn about the medical side of the health care field working closely with cancer and medically compromised patients.

Elisabeth also went to school at the University of North Carolina, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.  Elisabeth worked at the prestigious Duke’s Children’s Hospital and the Durham Veterans Affairs Hospital.  Having worked most of her career in hospital settings with medically compromised patients, Elisabeth soon became an expert in hospital dentistry and the supplies and equipment needed in large institutions.  As a Navy wife, she volunteered her time as a Red Cross Volunteer performing dental hygiene procedures on our United States Navy sailors. Dr. Kang has always said that Elisabeth’s support as a military spouse, made her just as much a part of the Navy has he was.  There were times where the needs of the Navy surpassed her needs. The time when they were married in the courthouse so that she could become a dependent before he went to boot camp, the time when she was pregnant strapped to a stretcher on a C-17 to be Medevac’d from Japan.  There is no stronger force than the support of the military wife or husband.

Seeing the need for quality supplies and equipment at an affordable price in a sector of the government meant to serve those who serve or have served their country, Dr. Kang and Elisabeth formed AlphaDog Medical and Dental Supply, LLC. Using their vast knowledge of dentistry and medicine, the Kangs’ created an inventory of supplies and equipment commonly used in the government.  With buying power, they are able to create value and pass it on the purchasing agent and healthcare facility.

Dr. Kang and Elisabeth are the proud parents of 3 energetic boys.  They currently live in Portland, OR.  In their spare time they love enjoying the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest and watching their boys play soccer.  They are very active in their church as a family and have created a ministry of building medical and dental clinics in remote areas where the Petros Network have planted churches.  If you would like to donate to the Petros Network or to read more about them please visit them at www.PetrosNetwork.org.
